UnderSea and Earthscape Reflections from the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Welcome to the Undersea and Earthscape on-line gallery of Karen Willshaw. The majority of the images displayed in the galleries are scenes from the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, a small horseshoe shaped coral atoll located in the middle of the Indian Ocean. This little known Australian treasure is often referred to as the Maldives without the crowds. From the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean to the perfectly white sandy beaches that surround this coral jewel, the scenery is as diverse as it is natural. With the coming age of digital cameras and the digital darkroom, Karen has captured the beauty both topside and under the water of the very special island she calls home.
